Chlorella pyrenoidosa is the old name for Chlorella sorokiniana. It also known as the “King of Chlorellas”.They are exactly the same species. It is just because the change of Taxonomy, so we call it Chlorella sorokiniana nowadays. According to the papers from SAG, the Chlorella pyrenoidosa is the formerly name of Chlorella sorokiniana.
